The story of East Street Tattoo and its artists begins on the first of August 1993 when the studio opened their doors for the very first time.

The studio was named after the street it was then on, Östgötagatan on Södermalm in Sweden's capital, Stockholm. Isak, the studio's founder, proved to have an excellent ability to capture talented professionals and talents among tattooists in Sweden and throughout the rest of the world and quickly built East Street Tattoo into Sweden's largest studio. Now more, the studio is located on Ölandsgatan 50i on a smaller scale and more focus on personality and cruel quality. This does not mean the same opportunity for drop in, but in return, customers have the opportunity to meet the tattoo artists directly and personally discuss their wishes for their upcoming tattoos. Many of the country's most well-known tattoo artists have worked on East Street earlier in their careers. Here are some of these, with their current studio in parentheses: Tim and Magnus P (Evil Eye), Matti Horimatsu and Ingela (Amazing Tattoo), Inge (Lucky Seven), Nille (Salvation Tattoo), Theo Jak (Infamous Tattoo), Max, Johan and (Stockholm Classic Tattoo), Bruno Todisco (ITA), Dario (Super Dario), Erik Lööf, Uncle Erik, Ion, Buri, Ida-Maria, Albin, Chrille Wagner, and last but not least Jeppe (Tattoo Machine) - one of East Street's formerly most driving forces. One of East Street's hallmarks has always been to bring in good guest tattoo artists from around the world and from all different tattoo cultures. This means that our customers can always get safe and solid tattoos with foreign tattoo motifs and styles, without having to leave the country. The list of those who have visited us can be made as long as you like. Below are some samples of international artists who have worked in the studio over the years: Matthew Wojciechowski (USA), Jennifer Billig (USA), Little Vinnie Myers (USA), Paul Pierce (USA), Alex Reinke aka Horikitsune - Holy Fox Tattoos (GER) , Lucky Gold, Experience Tattoo (ARG), Marius Mayer (NOR), Kabra (ESP), Horichika (JPN), Horilen (JPN) mm. In recent years, East Street has also participated in a number of film and television productions, and has been the subject of a large number of reports in newspapers and magazines. With this solid experience in the industry, we look forward to continuing to be one of Sweden's leading tattoo studios. At the same time, we take the opportunity to thank all the thousands of satisfied customers for giving us the confidence to tattoo just you!
